Each year at the annual District Convention during the Gala dinner two special awards are presented: District Officer of the Year and District Toastmaster of the Year.
This is an opportunity for you to recognise a District Officer and/or Toastmaster for their service and diligence.
The District Officer of the Year includes the senior leadership team however it does not include Area or Division Directors as these are awarded separately as Area Director of the Year and Division Director of the Year and are awarded at the annual changeover dinner.
The District Toastmaster of the Year is awarded to a member that has done something significant and outstanding within the District; it recognises the work of a Toastmaster who has gone above and beyond the call of duty.
The criteria for these awards is recognising a district leader or Toastmaster who you feel has exceeded in their role and has gone above and beyond what is expected of them. This is the person people turn to for guidance and help.
If you feel there is someone that deserves either of these prestigious awards, then please put in a nomination. Prepare a couple of paragraphs supporting why you have nominated the individual. Please email your nominations to Tracy Green no later than 6 May 2016.
