District 73’s newsletter, Southern Cross, has been produced since the District was formed in July 1976. Since July 2004 it has been produced as an online newsletter that members can download.

You can download the most recent edition of the Southern Cross – April 2012 here.The theme of this edition is “Convention”, previewing of the upcoming District Annual Convention.

These newsletters are available in PDF format and require Adobe Acrobat or similar to read them. If you don’t have a copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader you can download the latest free version from the Adobe website.

Contributing to the Southern Cross

Southern Cross is published every two months except for special occasions. To contribute to the Southern Cross, please email the Editor at newsletter@d73.toastmasters.org.au. Contributions can be articles that are of interest to Toastmasters, reports on Toastmasters events or advertising Toastmasters events. The Editor would prefer that contributions be in a Word.doc format, not a Word.docx format. Graphics and photos would be preferably in the smallest memory size but clear enough to see.

The deadline for contributions is two weeks before the first day of the month the edition is for. Editions are available on the 1^st of the month.

The next edition will be the June edition – Edition 88.

In 2012, the Southern Cross will be published in the following months:

• June edition – Edition 88, a special Convention edition, which will be available on Friday June 15 th. The contribution deadline for this edition is Friday June 15th. This edition will be a preview of the upcoming District Annual Convention.  Theme: “Convention Wrap-up”. This edition will be a wrap-up of what happened at the Convention, who won, who was elected and what else happened.
• August edition – Edition 89, which will be available on Wednesday August 1^st. The contribution deadline for this edition is Wednesday July 18^th.
• October edition – Edition 90, which will be available on Monday October 1^st. The contribution deadline for this edition is Monday September 18^th.

• December edition – Edition 91, which will be available on Monday December 3 rd. The contribution deadline for this edition is Monday  November 19^th.
