District 73 Toastmasters 2018 Annual Conference

Visit Tasmania to have a DEVIL of a time.

We have three amazing guests coming along to the Conference.

The first is the incredible Cathey Armillas.

Cathey is coming all the way from Portland, Oregon, to speak to us about public speaking and marketing ourselves. She is famous for her enthusiasm, vitality and teaching audiences how to take their presentations to another level.

Cathey is a TEDx speaker, TEDx speaking coach and organiser. She has volunteered extensively behind the scenes at TEDxPortland. Portland is famous for hosting one of the world’s largest TEDx event in the world with an attendance of over 3,000 people.

As well as coaching many speakers in their presentations, Cathey is also a marketing strategist, and author of the award-winning book, The Unbreakable Rules of Marketing: 9 ½ Ways to Get People to Love You (www.unbreakablerules.com). People love Cathey’s enthusiasm, passion and directness.

We also have the amazing Gavin Baskerville. He’s an experienced and respected stand-up comedian and writer who began his comedy career in Perth, Western Australia in 1999 as a national finalist in the RAW Comedy competition. Gavin moved to Melbourne in 2000 and began performing at iconic comedy rooms including The Prince Patrick Hotel and The Espy alongside Australia’s top comedians.

As a comedian Gavin has written, produced and performed in ten Melbourne International Comedy Festivals, has appeared on Network Ten’s 7PM Project and The Comedy Channel’s Stand-Up Australia, regularly performs around Australia, overseas and aboard Carnival cruise ships.

Now based in Hobart, Tasmania, Gavin manages Jokers Comedy Club and has run stand-up comedy workshops in Hobart, Perth, Canberra and Melbourne mentoring many new comedians.

Finally, we have our own Region 12 International Director, David Fisher.

David is an amazing Toastmaster, and has many amazing accomplishments including:

  • Founding three companies
  • Serving on committees of disabilities services organisations.
  • Working with club leadership committees and led IT project teams.

These guests are not to be missed!

Time is running out to book for our next District 73 Annual Conference.

Book now! The official website for the Conference is HERE!
