The application dates to become a district leader have been extended to the 28th of February.

If you think you’re not ready to take on a District Leadership role, then think again. It’s one of the most rewarded things you can do in Toastmasters.

The next two years will be the final opportunity to complete a District Officer Role for the Advanced Leader Silver (ALS) Award under the Traditional Education Program.
A District Officer Role can also count towards your DTM under the new Pathways Education Program.

Consider applying for one of these roles. They are:
· District Director
· Program Quality Director
· Club Growth Director
· Division Directors

Multiple nominations are sought for each of the top Trio roles to ensure that the District Council can elect the best person for each role.

THE ROLES

DISTRICT DIRECTOR
Responsible for administering the overseeing the district’s day-to-day operations, finances and human resources.
Prerequisites: At the time of taking office, the district director shall have served at least six consecutive months as a club president and at least 12 consecutive months as a program quality director, club growth director or division director or a combination thereof.

2. PROGRAM QUALITY DIRECTOR
Responsible for all aspects of education and training within the district.
Prerequisites: At the time of taking office, the program quality director shall have served at least six consecutive months as a club president and at least 12 consecutive months as a program quality director, club growth director or division director or an area director or a combination thereof.

3. CLUB GROWTH DIRECTOR
Responsible for all aspects of marketing, club-building and club-retention within the District.
Prerequisites: At the time of taking office, the club growth director shall have served at least six consecutive months as a club president and at least 12 consecutive months as a program quality director, a club growth director or division director, area director or a combination thereof.

4. DIVISION DIRECTOR
Responsible for coordinating Division activities, working with the Division’s Area Directors to achieve the Division’s goals, and assisting in the training of area and club leaders.
Prerequisites: At the time of taking office, the division director shall have served at least six consecutive months as a member of a district council i.e. must have filled one of the aforementioned roles, been an Area Director, or been a Club President or Vice President of Education.
