The demand by schools for the outstanding Toastmasters Youth Leadership Program led to a workshop being held at Berwick Toastmasters on 2nd April.
The workshop was run by an experienced team of YLP presenters and their assistants to give an introduction into the Youth Leadership Program, as many club members were unaware this opportunity existed to further their skills.
The variety of speakers gave insight into:
Benefits of being a YLP coordinator.
Running the classroom session.
Arranging the program with school principals and teachers
Organizing the graduation – award night.
Working with different ages e.g. Years 5, 7, & 9 in the same sessions.
Cultural difference or disadvantaged background consideration.

The feedback from the attendees was that it was a very inspiring and informative workshop; that the YLP is an amazing program.
