Yes, that’s right – the District 73 Change Over Dinner is just around the corner. All the particulars on how to register will shortly be sent to you. In the meantime, please mark Saturday night 2nd July in your calendar as a night out. And yes, this year the dinner is on a Saturday night after district officer training. The venue will again be Rydges on Swanston, 701 Swanston St, Carlton.
As part of the proceedings of the dinner, we plan to introduce some humour. We need your bloopers! Have you made an unintended humorous blunder while delivering a speech which you would like to share with fellow members? If so, please email the details to by Friday 24th June. The intention is that the material is supplied to the Toastmaster of the Evening and they may or may not decide to use it. There are no guarantees! One example I recall occurred when I was demonstrating how a syringe worked. I managed to squirt an audience member way down in the back row. I’m looking forward to your material.
